The Board of Pensions recognizes the urgent need for help in the aftermath of a natural disaster or crisis — from obtaining medical care and accessing medications to receiving financial assistance. The following resources are available to members and employers.
Members with access to the Employee Assistance Plan (EAP), including those enrolled in the Medical Plan or the Covenant Package, may call Spring Health, the EAP service provider, at 844-931-4465. The
EAP provides assistance for coping with disasters and crisis counseling, including
resources for employers and managers.
Among other resources for financial assistance, the Board offers
Emergency Assistance through the
Assistance Program of the Board of Pensions. Emergency Assistance may be offered to individual employees affected by natural disasters and to groups of affected employees. The mid council or employer in the affected region may provide its
Church Consultant with information about employees affected and the need. The Board will make Emergency Assistance decisions after receiving information on the magnitude of the need.
Employees and their family members with medical coverage through the Board can consult with a doctor 24/7 through Teladoc, 800-835-2362. Teladoc provides access — by phone, video, or mobile app — to U.S. board-certified physicians who can diagnose and treat many medical issues, such as ear infections and flu symptoms.
Members concerned about receiving prescription refills should call Express Scripts, 800-344-3896, to have medications shipped to a temporary address.
If you have questions about benefits or assistance provided by the Board or any of our partners, contact us at 800-PRESPLAN (800-773-7752) (TTY: 711). We are here to serve our members and their families, employers, and mid councils, and will work to provide the support and information needed.
