How to access EAP services and resources

To access Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) services and resources, call 866-640-2772, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to speak with an EAP advocate, or visit the Cigna website (one-time registration required).

By phone

Call 866-640-2772. EAP advocates are available 24/7 to listen to your concerns, help guide you to a solution, and direct you to helpful resources.

Log on to > Coverage > Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to live chat with an EAP advocate, schedule a phone consultation with a clinician, get an EAP code for face-to-face visits, and locate work-life balance resources. A one-time registration is required. Enter pcusa for Employer Name or ID when prompted.

Note: To protect your personal information, Cigna’s website now requires two-step authentication (MFA) for online account access. If you previously registered on the site before MFA was required, you may need to complete the two-step authentication process before you can access your account.

Steps to register

  • Click Register to create an account and set up a username and password.
  • Skip the instructions under Before You Continue and simply click the Start Registration button.
  • Enter your name, date of birth, and ZIP code; then click Next.
  • For What best describes you, select I want to register for the Employee Assistance Program ONLY.
  • When you reach the Confirm Your Identity screen, follow these instructions:
    • Enter pcusa for Employer Name or ID.
    • For Your Relationship to the Employee, select Employee or Other person living in the home (household member).
  • Select your security questions.

If you or a member of your household has any problems with the online EAP registration process, call the customer support line at 800-853-2713. When asked for an ID number or Social Security number, state, "I don't have it," to connect to a customer service representative.

To find EAP network providers

To find counselors in the Cigna Behavioral Health network, log on to Cigna's website, click Coverage, and use the Visit an EAP counselor link under Emotional and Family Support. To access up to six free visits per issue per year, you will need to give the counselor an EAP code, available from Cigna's website or by calling the EAP.

If you need help locating or making an appointment with an EAP network provider, call the EAP (or use the live chat feature on Cigna's website) and tell them you'd like to fast track an appointment with a network counselor. You will be given names and contact information for EAP network providers who have available appointments within the next five business days. You are then responsible for contacting the provider and making the appointment; EAP advocates cannot make appointments on your behalf.
