The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) partners with employers affiliated with the PC(USA) — educational institutions, camps and conference centers, retirement and senior housing communities, and human services organizations — to provide a broad range of health, retirement, and financial protection benefits. Your relationship manager serves as your resource in the development of benefits strategies for your organization.  ​

How your relationship manager can guide you

Human resources and finance leaders who make benefits decisions for PC(USA) affiliated employers may call on their relationship manager for guidance about options. Some of the ways in which we provide support include the following:

  • consult with employers about Board of Pensions benefits plans and programs and help employers identify benefits needs
  • help to expand awareness of the Assistance Program
  • ensure plan performance and satisfaction
  • develop annual benefits renewal strategy and planning
  • provide benefit pricing and guidance

Martha Reisner

Martha Reisner serves as Director, Affiliate Market Relationships. Martha has been with the Board of Pensions since 2017, starting as a Church Consultant for the mid-Atlantic region. As a consultant, she guided employers and PC(USA) mid councils in selecting and administering benefits. In her current role, Martha brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the Board's benefits offerings and employer needs.

Martha serves as an employer resource in the development of benefits engagement strategies.

Before coming to the Board of Pensions, Martha was the executive director of a faith-based nonprofit. She is an elder in the PC(USA), and has served as a deacon and trustee.

Martha has a bachelor's degree from Lawrence University and a master's degree from the University of Michigan.

Michele Wentworth

Rev. LaRue

Michele Wentworth joined the Affiliate Markets team in 2021 as a Strategic Relationship Manager. Michele is responsible for employer-specific business strategies, member engagement, targeted employer communications and outreach, and overall programming needs throughout the year.

Michele has been with the Board of Pensions since 2005. Prior to joining the Affiliate Markets team, she served as the Board's Wellness Program Manager and had responsibility for the Call to Health program, Employee Assistance Plan, and Livongo for Diabetes Program. Michele worked closely with affiliated employers to increase well-being engagement among their staff.

Michele has a bachelor's degree from York College of Pennsylvania and earned a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation in 2017.
