These Important Notices

  • provide important legal information about the Retirement Savings Plan of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and special enrollment rights in the Medical Plan of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.);
  • advise Medical Plan enrollees of their benefit rights around mastectomy and hospital stays in connection with childbirth; and
  • provide notice to enrollees of their right to obtain benefits information in languages other than English.

Annual Pension Plan Status Report

The Pension Plan of the Benefits Plan of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is a church plan and is not subject to ERISA and its disclosure requirements. The Board of Pensions provides comparable information annually about the status and financial condition of the Pension Plan in the following documents:

HIPAA Privacy Notice

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Notice advises members of the Medical Plan's privacy practices and their rights under HIPAA.

Medicare

The Creditable Coverage Notice advises members eligible for Medicare Part D benefits that the Medical Plan, which includes prescription drug coverage, is at least as good as the standard Medicare prescription drug coverage and is therefore considered creditable coverage.

Premium Assistance Notice

This notice provides information about premium assistance under Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
