Benefits with no hourly work requirement

Employers can choose from several benefits options that have no hourly work requirements for employees to participate. Consider these options for both full- and part-time employees.

The Board of Pensions offers several benefits options for employees regardless of the number of hours they are regularly scheduled to work. These benefits can be offered to full- and part-time employees at little to no cost to the employer.

Consider these benefits for your employees:

  • Dental Plan, administered by Aetna, provides coverage for a wide range of services, including preventive and diagnostic care, basic and major restorative care, and orthodontia. Employers may choose to pay all, some, or none of the cost for coverage.
  • Retirement Savings Plan, a qualified 403(b)(9) defined contribution church plan, allows for tax-advantaged savings to help participants achieve long-term retirement goals. The plan is administered by Fidelity Investments and features low annual fees for participants. Employers may, but are not required to, contribute to the plan.
  • Dependent care flexible spending accounts, administered by HealthEquity, allow participants to set aside pretax dollars to pay for eligible child and elder care expenses. Employers may, but are not required to, contribute to these accounts.
  • Vision Plan, administered by VSP, includes an annual vision exam and helps members with the cost of prescription eyewear by providing an annual allowance for glasses or contacts. Employers may choose to pay all, some, or none of the cost for coverage.
