Five tips to help you answer the Call to Health before it’s too late

October 14, 2021

Less than one month remains to answer the call and save on 2022 medical deductibles. Try these tips to help you reach your Call to Health goals by November 12.

If you haven't already answered the Call to Health, there's still time to save as much as one-third on your 2022 medical deductibles, and earn Tango gift cards, as you work toward being your best in all areas — spiritual, health, financial, and vocational.

Even if you haven't yet signed up, you can still answer the call, but you need to act quickly. You'll receive a $50 Tango card when you register as a new participant and complete the confidential Well-Being Assessment.

Whether you're almost there or just starting out, here are some tips to help you achieve your Call to Health goals by November 12.

  1. Look for challenges that are activities you already do on a regular basis, such as Daily Prayer (7 points per week), Weekly Exercise Challenge (10 points per week), and Follow Your Doctor's Orders (30 points).
  2. Consider different ways to complete the required preventive exam challenge if you haven't already done so. For example, women can record a routine gynecologic exam as their preventive exam. You can also have your checkup virtually if your doctor offers this option.
  3. Look for challenges that don't require a lot of time to complete. Some activities are as simple as watching a short video, posting to the Call to Health Social Feed, or engaging with the Board of Pensions through social media:
    • Join the Feed (15 points): Set up a profile on the Call to Health Social Feed.
    • Managing Stress in Difficult Times (10 points): Watch a one-minute video.
    • Like us on Facebook (25 points): Stay on top of news and important happenings at the Board.
    • Share a Positive Coping Technique (10 points): Post to the Call to Health Social Feed.
    • Watch The Tango Card Video (10 points): Learn what a Tango card is and how to get yours.
    • Follow us on Twitter Challenge (25 points): Find ways to stay motivated and on the road to wholeness.
    • Video: Understanding Medical Plan Terms (20 points): Watch a four-minute video to learn the meaning of some important terms, then take a short quiz.
  4. Explore My Choice activities under Top Picks for You. Identified by a yellow My Choice flag in the bottom right-hand corner of the activity tile, My Choice activities are personalized for you based on prior challenges you completed, giving you additional ways to earn points.
  5. Take action during annual enrollment for 2022 benefits. Complete the Annual Enrollment challenge by logging on to Benefits Connect during annual enrollment (October 25 through November 12) to review and elect benefits for 2022, to earn 50 points. (Note: This challenge will not be available on the Call to Health website until annual enrollment starts October 25.)
