If you or a member of your household has any problems with the online EAP registration process, call the customer support line at 800-853-2713. When asked for an ID number or Social Security number, state, "I don't have it," to connect to a customer service representative.
To find network counselors and access up to six free visits per issue per year, log on to Cigna's website and follow these steps:
To access your free visits, whether in-person or virtual, you will need to give the counselor an EAP code, available from Cigna's website or by calling the EAP. If using Talkspace or another mental health company through Cigna’s website, click
Get an EAP Code to the right of the screen, provide the information requested, and click
Submit. Once you receive your code, click the
Connect button to enter the company’s website. You will then need to follow the prompts to create a profile, verify your coverage, and enter your EAP code before being matched with a therapist to begin treatment.
If you need help locating or making an appointment with an EAP network provider, call the EAP (or use the live chat feature on Cigna's website) and tell them you'd like to fast track an appointment with a network counselor. You will be given names and contact information for Cigna EAP network providers who have available appointments within the next five business days. You are then responsible for contacting the provider and making the appointment; EAP advocates cannot make appointments on your behalf.
The EAP also offers resources to help you balance your work and life needs on topics such as
